MVP showcase camps are held across the US and conducted by former pro scouts and players. Players go through a showcase-evaluation similar to a Major League tryout. Your evaluation is based upon the five tools of baseball in your primary position.

Showcase-evaluations for position players include:

  • Running speed (timed 60-yd dash)
  • Arm strength (radar gun velocity)
  • Hitting mechanics
  • Hitting for power
  • Defensive skills
  • Catching skills (when applicable)

Showcase-evaluations for pitchers include:

  • Pitching mechanics
  • Ball movement
  • Command of pitches
  • Pitch selection
  • Arm angle / slot
  • Arm strength (radar gun velocity)

Player stats are posted online within 14 days of a showcase. To learn more about  MVP's innovative, proprietary online stats and national ranking system, click here.

Pro-style showcase-evaluation benefits:

  • Evaluation by former pro scouts / players
  • Players ranked nationally on grade level and position
  • Online national exposure to college coaches and pro scouts
  • College recruiting seminar and handout
  • Player stats posted online within 14 days
  • Gain experience and confidence in tryout setting
  • Top players selected for MVP national teams

parent is required to register the player and sign the participation agreement and release form. It is also an opportunity to learn more about MVP programs that can benefit the player.  Only players' stats from their primary position will be posted online.

A complimentary college seminar provides parents with insights into what college coaches are looking for in a player today and what it takes for a player to compete at the college baseball level. MVP has helped place many players in some of the most prestigious colleges and universities throughout the country, with some receiving substantial scholarships.

Following the showcase, parents must call the MVP office for an in-depth discussion of their player’s skills, past experience and baseball goals. At that time, parents are informed if the player has qualified for a nationally-ranked MVP team to compete in the country’s top college exposure showcase tournaments, such as:

Triple Crown World Series    Phil Singer's Summer Series
WWBA 17U Nat'l Championship   Perfect Game Nat'l Championship
WWBA 18U Nat'l Championship
  Arizona Senior Fall Classic
Barcelona Goodwill Games
  Arizona Junior Fall Classic

National tournaments offer an unparalleled opportunity for players to receive top-level training and development by former MLB players and scouts. The MVP program is more than just a tournament -- if selected, MVP will profoundly elevate your game and better prepare you for college baseball.

Every player who joins a MVP team must be 100% dedicated to attending the event. MVP teams are formed by commitment from both players and parents. Event fee does not include travel expenses or uniform. MVP is not responsible for game cancellations due to inclement weather, and refunds are not alowed. Please read our Participation Agreement and Release.
